Born and raised in Carrboro, NC, Colin graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2005 with a degree in Commercial Recreation and a minor in Business.
As a competitive basketball player, he developed a passion for fitness and an understanding of the central role exercise plays in not only physical fitness but mental and emotional wellness. Following his passion, and a desire to assist others in striving for optimal health, he attended the National Personal Training Institute, graduating in 2009.
With over twelve years of personal training experience, Colin has finely tuned his training philosophy by working with a wide range of individuals, including but not limited to fitness novices, athletes, weekend warriors, seniors, pre/post op, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, Parkinson's, and muscle dystrophy. Constantly learning and developing his training skill set, Colin maintains a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and a Corrective Exercises Specialist (CES) certification from the nationally accredited National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM).
When he is not helping people reach their fitness goals, he enjoys staying active and outdoors whenever possible. A die hard Tar Heel fan and beach bum, he loves playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with his friends and family - especially his lovely wife, Laureen, and their wonderful daughter, Lyanna.
