Born and raised in Carrboro, NC, Colin graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2005 with a degree in Commercial Recreation and a minor in Business.
As a competitive basketball player, he developed a passion for fitness and an understanding of the central role exercise plays in not only physical fitness but mental and emotional fitness as well. Following his passion, and a desire to assist others in striving for optimal health, he attended the National Personal Training Institute, graduating in 2009.
With over eight years of personal training experience, Colin has finely tuned his training philosophy by working with a wide range of individuals, including but not limited to fitness novices, athletes, seniors, pre/post op, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, muscle dystrophy, Parkinson's, and many other challenging situations. Constantly learning and developing his training skill set, Colin recently earned a Personal Training Certification from the nationally accredited NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) and is currently pursuing a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification.
When he is not helping people reach their fitness goals, he enjoys being outdoors as much as possible (especially the beach!), playing basketball, rooting for the Tar Heels, and spending time with his family and friends.
